London Fashion Week April 03 2014, 0 Comments
London Fashion Week, a couple of weeks ago, was unashamedly trending towards the feminine with florals, pastels and feminine lace being paraded down the catwalk. LFW showed us that Spring Summer 2014 is going to be a great time to be a girl.
Mary Katrantzou showed off a collection of swing dresses in all over splash prints. The length for SS14 is clearly going to be short, very feminine and cute.
During LFW Matthew Williamson also showcased chili reds, tangerine oranges and canary yellows. Amongst the colour explosion he added diamantes and delicate lace.
Topshop Unique also went girly but with a little sister look. The Topshop Unique look is based around the girl who parties all night on the beach and wakes up fresh, sunkissed and freckled. The collection was a day to night, bright and summery – easy to wear, easy to love.
If this look excites you as much as it does us never fear, Little By Little, is ahead of the game and here we show you how to capture this cutting edge SS14 girly look in your AW13 wardrobe.
Our Sweet Heart cardigan is a perfect girly cover up for the forthcoming fall. It’s feminine and cute whilst being perfectly on trend in tones of lemon and turquoise. Team it with short skirts and skater dresses for a young, fresh and playful look.
The biggest statement to come from Paris Fashion Week is the return of the white shirt and nothing is more bang on trend than this Floral Chiffon Shirt. Not only is the white shirt totally on trend but it is also trend ahead with soft florals coming from the shoulder and cascading down. Don’t think that chiffon is just for summer, it’s going to be huge this AW and is combinable with the season’s must have long cardigans.
Now Fall is upon us a cover up is essential. To stay ahead of the forthcoming SS14 girly trend, invest in this Jacket in Flower Print. Not only is it a practical cover up but it’s feminine with oversized oriental flowers. Team it with a suitable girly skater dress or toughen up your look with skinny distressed jeans and biker boots.

Shop The Sports Luxe Trend April 03 2014, 0 CommentsHave you always liked the idea of wearing sportswear but lack the opportunity because you aren’t quite Miss Gym? If this sounds familiar don’t fear because this season the fashion world is giving all of us, the gym lovers and haters, the opportunity to kit up. The Sports Luxe fashion trend is all about loose boxers shorts, oversized hockey tops worn both as trousers and dresses.
This look is comfortable, easy going yet surprisingly glamorous – there is just something super sexy about girls in boys sports gear. But the key to not looking too boyish is to coordinate with the least expected girly accessories – i.e. high heels, metallic evening bags. It really is all about the clash of sportswear with evening wear.
This Sports Luxe trend is pioneered on the catwalk and loved by celebs who have been seen wearing it as both day wear and evening wear. Here is our recap of the look and how you can get it yourself. Starting with the catwalk:

Bare Belly April 03 2014, 0 CommentsLegs are out. Cleavage is so last year. The must show of 2013 is the midriff. Now before you break out in a sweat know that you don’t have to pump iron for hours in the gym just to achieve this look because the fashion world have been kind – its all in the length! You have to opt for a top that finishes just below the rib cage and then team it with a high-rise bottom, the area you will be exposing is essentially one that doesn’t really carry fat. Plus this illusion of high-rise trouser will actually make your stomach look more toned, whilst holding in any muffin top.
The trend has featured everywhere this Spring Summer season, from designers on the catwalk, celebs and then the high-street. See our guide below on the must have trend and then see how you too can get the look easily, courtesy, of LittleByLittle.

Let’s Get Romantic April 03 2014, 0 Comments
Maybe it’s the summer sun that makes us feel care-free and happy but we can’t help but want to dress up all girly and feel a little bit romantic. Time to show off our legs, don flowers in our hair and unleash our playful side. Chiffon or tulle dresses are the perfect romantic go-to because of the way they hang and the way they spins as we do lots of girly twirls (which we all want to do despite our age). Don’t believe us? Well just look at these photos of Keira Knightley on her wedding day skipping in delight.
Keira donned a strapless tulle knee length dress in blush pink, defying all traditions (especially since the dress was rumoured to be recyled from her wardrobe). Yet despite her verge away from traditional bridal wear Keira was voted ‘’Best Dress Bride’’ by Vanity Fair proving that everyone loves to feel girly and romantic. Kiera’s dress was a said to be bespoke, created by Chanel’s creative director, Karl Lagerfeld, but you can also achieve pastel perfection with this Lace Pleated Maxi dress available in Pink, White, Cream or Green.
This dress is perfectly versitile for the summer season since you can dress it down with flip flops and ballet pumps and a denim jacket or dress it up with heels and make it wedding guest fit. Of course you can go one step further and get married in it! Well if its good enough for Keira. . .
Crop Tops April 03 2014, 0 Comments
From music lovers at Glastonbury, to Hollywood a-listers; everyone is wearing crop tops this summer! Skin is definitely in and crop tops come in a variety of styles that will work with most body types. A crop top can help keep your body cool during the summer’s heat and even showing just a sliver of your midriff can bring an element of surprise to an outfit.
British singer-songwriter Eliza Doolittle wore a pastel colour crop top with a mini skirt accessorised with a pair of wedges, a statement ruffle layered hat and retro round sunglasses in her “Big When I Was Little” music video.
Trendsetters worldwide have embraced the crop top, but if you’re self-conscious about showing your midriff, don’t stress! Wearing a crop top underneath a denim dungaree dress skirt is one stylish way to get more skin coverage. Crop tops also look great with high waist pants and skirts.
Rihanna was spotted wearing her overalls dungaree with a bardot sleeved crop top in Manchester on 12 June 2013.
The Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall opts for a 90s look with a crop top and a pair of cut-off dungaree.
Rocking Polka Dots Like Taylor Swift April 03 2014, 0 Comments
Everyone from style bloggers to A-list celebrities have been rocking polka dot prints this summer. Polka dots are so retro and fun, it’s no wonder we keep seeing this cute trend popping up! American singer Taylor Swift is one celebrity who has perfected the art of coordinating outfits with polka dot patterns.
During an interview and performance on ABC’s “The View”, Taylor wore a vey neat white top with medium-sized black polka dots. Dress up the 3/4 sleeve shirt by wearing it with a classic skirt like Taylor did, or dress it down by wearing the polka dot top with jeans or leggings.
Taylor has been spotted (pardon the pun), in polka dot dresses through-out the years, and yet she still rocks them time after time! Retro looking dresses are suitable for almost any function or event, even if you’re not a world-famous singer.
HOW-TO GUIDE to rocking polka dots
So how can you rock polka dots like Taylor Swift?
Wearing polka dot prints with solid colours is a fool-proof way to work trendy polka dots into your wardrobe. If you’re daring you can mix your polka dots with stripes and other patterns, but for a classic vintage look, one print per outfit is more fitting. If you’re wearing a black and white polka dot print, use one of Taylor’s fashion secrets; wear one thing that’s red. A red belt, red shoes, or even red lipstick will take an otherwise monochrome polka dot outfit from just pretty to celebrity worthy!
